The weather was kind to me for the eclipse today; cloudy enough to make direct photography possible but not too cloudy as to completely obscure the sun (well not all the time at least). What a show nature puts on for us every once in a while.

Super! Very like my photos but your are more ‘total’. We had clear skies up until the time for the eclipse to start. Annoying, or what.
At maximum we had about 85% of the sun covered. Further north and west in the UK they had more covered but worse weather. I think we got the better deal.
The day started misty here and still is… no sun around at all… So thanks for your pictures! :-)
You’re most welcome Nil.
Nice to see it! We didn’t have a chance this time around.
It happened during the New England nighttime of course Allen. We now have an eleven year wait until the next one.
We had cloud, much to my son’s disgust as he had his camera out ready. It got darker but that was about it. Well done for capturing it so well.
Thanks Marie. We were lucky in that we had just enough cloud so that we could look directly at the sun most of the time but not enough to completely obscure the image.
